Hurghada once a fishing village is now a thriving resort. It offers a fantastic variety of dive sites with outstanding reefs and drop-offs and coral gardens, many of which are sheltered and within a 30 minute or 1 hour boat ride from the hotels scattered along the coast.
Learning to dive
Hurghada is an ideal place to dive into the water for the first time. There are plenty of safe and sheltered sites that offer superb visibility to appreciate the fabulous marine life. The shallow water is perfect for beginners. The full range of SCUBA courses are offered.
Qualified divers
Hurghada's many dive sites offer an abundance of reef marine life and an incredible diversity of corals. With well over 80 dive spots there is something for everyone - Shallow coral gardens, drift dives, wreck dives as well as Technical diving.
